As an independent college counselor, I help with all aspects of the college planning process. I help my students carefully craft their lists, including looking at colleges they may not have considered on their own. Through a structured process, I work with each student as they write their essays, encouraging them to write about what they value in their own voice. Through frequent meetings and communications, I facilitate the completion and submission of the student’s applications. Perhaps best of all, I take the burden of managing the process off of parents, allowing them to enjoy their student’s last year at home before college.
